Online Property Search Instructions |
These instructions should get you started with the Online Property Search System.
After logging in to the system with your username and password, you will see a menu bar across the top with three different types of available searches. They are Assessments, Businesses and Subdivisions. Click on the type of search you wish to use. If you do not wish to search by business name or subdivision name, use the Assessments.
Now you should see a screen showing several fields with no information in them. These are the search fields (also called filters). To perform a search, type the information that you are looking for into the fields and press the Enter key. For example, if you are searching for all property owned by John Smith, type "Smith, John" (without the quotes) in the Owner Name field. If you are searching for a particular address, type the street number, street name and zip code in the proper fields. Once you have entered the information, you will receive a listing showing all parcels matching the criteria you are searching for. To view the detail for a particular parcel, move your cursor over the parcel and click on it. You will then get the detail screen for that property.
To perform a search for another property, reenter the filter information. Don't forget to remove the last search criteria. For example, if you last searched for "Smith, John" and now want to search for "Thomas Rd", remove "Smith, John" from the owner field. If you leave it, you will get a listing of all property owned by "Smith, John" on "Thomas Rd".
