Proposed Parish-Wide Millage Rate

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury has proposed a parish-wide millage rate.

07/20/2009 -- The Ouachita Parish Police Jury has proposed a parish-wide millage rate that will be on the ballot for voter approval on October 17, 2009.  The monies collected from this property tax will be used exclusively to retire bonds sold to fund incentives for the V-Vehicle Manufacturing Plant.  If you would like to examine how this would effect your property tax notice, see the link below.  The proposed rate is 1.80 mills which translates to $1.80 for every $1000 of taxable assessed value.  Please contact your Police Juror if you have any questions or concerns over the proposed property tax millage.
