2009 Tax Roll Calendar

07/16/2009 -- The calendar for the 2009 Tax Roll of Ouachita Parish has been released. It includes dates of official publications, Board of Review Hearing, Open Book Period and other important information. As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our office at 318-327-1300.

  • August 20, 2009         Beginning of Open Book Period. Assessment Books are open for Public Inspection for 15 days.
  • September 4, 2009    Certify all assessments to Ouachita Parish Police Jury.
  • September 7, 2009    Ouachita Parish Police Jury sits as Board of Review for 15 days
  • September 15, 2009  Deadline to file an appeal with the Ouachita Parish Police Jury.  The appeal form should be filed in person or by certified mail TO THE POLICE JURY seven days prior to Board of Review Hearing.  THE ASSESSOR'S OFFICE CANNOT ACCEPT APPEALS.
  • September 15, 2009  Ouachita Parish Assessor's Office meeting to adopt 2009 millage rate.
  • September 21, 2009  Ouachita Parish Police Jury Board of Review hearing.  Courtroom 3 in the Ouachita Parish Courthouse 6:30 PM.
  • September 24, 2009  Ouachita Parish Police Jury sends appeals letters to taxpayer, LA Tax Commission and Assessor.
  • October 8, 2009        Deadline for taxpayer and Assessor appeals to LA Tax Commission.
  • November 13, 2009   Deadline for filing 2009 Ouachita Parish Tax Roll with LA Tax Commission.

  • September 3, 2009, September 10, 2009   Board of Review Ad in Ouachita Citizen, The News-Star & Monroe Dispatch.
